All patrons of MAC are responsible for adhering to health and hygiene requirements including showering with soap and water prior to entering any pools.
It is important that if you are unwell or experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 or diarrhoea or gastro, that you do not attend the Centre until you have fully recovered.

General terms and conditions

  • Comply with MAC's Watch Around Water Policy
  • Children 10 years of age and under must be supervised by a parent/guardian 16 years or older.
  • Patrons must follow staff direction at all times when visiting MAC.
  • Use lockers for all personal belongings – management strongly recommends their use.
  • Photography is only permitted with prior Centre approval, please enquire at Customer Service.
  • Bicycles, skateboards and inline skates are not permitted in the Centre.
  • Glass is not permitted in the Centre.
  •  Toddlers and babies must wear suitable swimwear at all times. Swim nappies/diapers are available for purchase at reception.

Aquatic area terms and conditions

To ensure Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre users enjoy their time in the aquatics areas whilst keeping safe and suitably distanced from other patrons, we ask patrons to please adhere to the following:

  • Shower with soap and water prior to entering aquatics areas.
  • For health and safety reasons, towels are required for sitting on in the steam room and sauna. All steam room and sauna users must bring their own towel. Kick boards are provided and can be used in lieu of a towel. No towel, no entry.
  • Toddlers and babies must wear suitable swimwear at all times. Swim nappies/diapers are available for purchase at reception.
  • No water bottles are allowed within the steam room or sauna.

Gym/Health Club terms and conditions

To ensure all Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre users enjoy their time in the Health Club/Gym, whilst keeping safe and suitably distanced from other patrons, we ask everyone to be respectful of the following:

  • Patrons must bring their own fitness mats/towels for the gym and group fitness classes. No towel, no entry.
  • Patrons must bring their own towels and water bottle
  • Patrons must wear appropriate closed toe sport style footwear at all times
  • Appropriate workout attire must be work.
  • No denim or jeans as this damages equipment.
  • No filming or tripods permitted inside the gym
  • No bags permitted on the gym floor. 
  • Patrons may not bring or use their own workout equipment without prior approval
  • Patrons are encouraged to bring their own boxing gloves
  • Please put your weights away after use
  • No dropping of weights 
  • Patrons under 16 years of age will not be permitted entry into the Health Club with the exception of those with a current Active Teens membership.
  • No food or hot drinks are allowed in the Health Club. 

Group fitness class terms and conditions

To ensure Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre users enjoy their time in Group Fitness classes, whilst keeping safe and suitably distanced from other patrons, we ask everyone to be respectful of the following procedures:

  • Please arrive at least five (5) minutes prior to the class start time.
  • Entry will not be permitted if you are more than three (3) minutes late.
  • If equipment is used during the class, it must be cleaned with the disinfectant spray provided both before and after use.
  • Please follow the Group Fitness Instructor’s directions regarding equipment setup and pack-up.
  • All participants must bring their own water bottle and towel – large towels are recommended.
  • Exiting the Group Fitness room during the class is discouraged, to minimise movement through the Centre and for safety reasons.
  • Bookings for Group Fitness classes can be made in advance via the MAC Online Client Portal or MAC App.
  • Patrons under 16 years of age are not permitted to attend Group Fitness classes.
  • Refunds are not available.
  • Rescheduling or cancelling bookings must be done at least 60 minutes prior to the session start time.
  • Patrons may have a carer accompany them if required.
  • Class participation is subject to maximum capacity limits.
  • Classes are subject to change without notice.
  • Patrons are encouraged to bring their own boxing gloves and mat where applicable.

Notice

Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre reserves the right to refuse entry and/or instruct a person to leave the Centre if they fail to comply with the above Terms and Conditions.

MAC is a family-friendly centre, and we have a zero-tolerance approach to bullying, harassment or intimidation of staff and other patrons.  Offenders must remove themselves from the Centre immediately when directed to do so by any MAC staff member, and future access to the Centre will be subject to consideration by Centre management.

If any member fails to comply with MAC’s Terms and Conditions, Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre reserves the right to ask the member to leave, and/ or freeze and/or cancel their membership.
