It is important that if you are unwell or experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, that you do not attend the Centre and seek medical advice.

Conditions of Entry - Social distancing, safety, health and hygiene and COVID-19 protocols

All visitors to MAC are responsible for adhering to social distancing, health and hygiene requirements.

All visitors must:

  • Always maintain 1.5 meters distance from other persons whilst visiting MAC
  • Stay home and do not attend the Centre if you are feeling unwell or are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms
  • Use hand sanitiser provided upon arrival
  • Adhere to the standard Conditions of Entry to MAC - www.maribyrnong.vic.gov.au/mac/About/Policies

Booking policy for Group Fitness Classes

  • Members and casual users can book their group fitness sessions prior to arrival via the MAC Online Client Portal.
  • Patrons under 16 will not be permitted entry into the Group Fitness Classes.
  • Refunds are not available.
  • Rescheduling sessions can only be made up to two hours prior to the session commencing.
  • Patrons may have a Carer attend with them
  • If you can no longer attend your booked session, please cancel your booking via the MAC Online Client Portal

Restrictions

  • Customers must bring their own fitness mats/towels for the gym and group fitness classes. No towel, no entry.

Aquatic areas

To ensure Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre users enjoy their time in the aquatics areas whilst keeping safe and suitably distanced from other patrons, we ask everyone to be respectful of the following:

  • Shower with soap and water prior to entering aquatics areas.
  • Always keep a 1.5 metre distance between yourself and others.
  • For health and safety reasons, towels are required for sitting on in the steam room and sauna. All steam room and sauna users must bring their own towel. No towel, no entry.

Health Club Procedures

To ensure all Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre users enjoy their time in the Health Club, whilst keeping safe and suitably distanced from other patrons, we ask everyone to be respectful of the following:

  • All equipment must be cleaned with disinfectant spray provided, both before and after use
  • Patrons must bring their own equipment/belongings including towel, exercise mat, boxing gloves and water bottle.
  • Patrons under 16 years of age will not be permitted entry into the Health Club with the exception of those with a current Active Teens membership.

Group Fitness Classes

To ensure Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre users enjoy their time in Group Fitness classes, whilst keeping safe and suitably distanced from other patrons, we ask everyone to be respectful of the following procedures:

  • You must arrive 5min prior to the class commencing, late arrivals will not be permitted entry.
  • If equipment is used in the class, it must be cleaned with disinfectant spray provided, both before and after use.
  • Please follow the Group Fitness Instructors’ directions in regards to packing away equipment.
  • Customers must bring their own exercise mat, water bottle and towel. Large towels are recommended.
  • Exiting the Group Fitness room during the class will be discouraged to minimise movement through the Centre and for safety reasons

Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre reserves the right to refuse entry and/or instruct a person to leave the Centre if they fail to comply with the above Terms and Conditions.

Behaviour deemed unacceptable by Centre staff will not be tolerated. Offenders must remove themselves from the Centre immediately when directed to do so by any MAC staff member, and future access to the Centre will be subject to consideration by Centre management.
