The City of Maribyrnong’s premier aquatic recreation Centre Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre (MAC) has a strong focus on supporting all members of its community to be able to access the Centre. Concession rates on programs and services are available, and Council provides subsidised access for people and groups suffering financial disadvantage.
It is a term and condition of admission to the facility that the City of Maribyrnong and its servants and agents accept no liability of whatever description or any losses, injuries or death which may occur in this facility, however caused. By entering this facility, entrants accept that they do so at their own risk and accept that they waive and forgo any legal rights that they may otherwise have against the City of Maribyrnong and/or its servants an agents.
To help address the concern regarding the supervision of children at public aquatic facilities, MAC has implemented the ‘Watch Around Water’ program. This has been developed by Aquatics & Recreation Victoria and Life Saving Victoria to educate the public about adequate supervision and to encourage parent/guardians to take on this responsibility when visiting a public aquatic facility.
For more information please contact MAC Customer Service or check out Life Saving Victoria's website to read more about the program.
