Do you love to chat and share ideas and thoughts about books? Book Groups are a great way to meet like-minded people and indulge your passion for reading. Maribyrnong Libraries run monthly book groups, with lots of times and locations to suit everyone!

If you'd like to start your own book group with friends, we also have over 150 book group sets that you can borrow for free! See below for more information.

Borrow a Book Group Set

If you run a book group, we have over 150 book group sets that you can borrow. Ten copies of selected new titles can be loaned for up to six weeks.

To borrow a book set, first choose a title from the list below, then call or visit the library to place a reserve on it.

  • The set is loaned on a member’s library card for six weeks.
  • Book sets cannot be renewed.
  • All 10 copies must be returned on or before the due date.
  • Sets can be reserved for any six week period in the next six months.
