NAIDOC Week starts today and is an Indigenous-led celebration of the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. To celebrate NAIDOC week in Maribyrnong, we will be holding a series of events including:

Treaty Community Forum

Braybrook Library is hosting a Treaty Community Forum on Thursday 6 July. Lunch will bavailable aBraybrook Community Hufrom 12pm, with thforum starting at 1pm. The Treaty Community Forum will be held with the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria and is a chance to learn more about the Self-Determination Fund and the processes for Treaty-making in Victoria, have a yarn, and help shape the next steps on the journey. This event is for Community and allies.

Yarraville Library is hosting a NAIDOC Week Story Time on Saturday 8 July from 11am. A special weekend Story Time to celebrate stories about Elders from First Nations children's authors. Suitable for ages 0-5.
