Learn how to paint with light in this hands-on photography workshop, presented by Sleepless Festival in conjunction with Melbourne Nocturnal Film Festival and Laneway Learning!
When: Sunday 5 May, 4.30pm (90 Minutes) Where: Bluestone Chruch Arts, Space 8A Hyde St, Footscray
Over 90 minutes, you will learn the basics of long exposure photography, night photography and light painting, such as the different camera settings and how to use them. You'll be shown the tools for light painting, with techniques such as silhouetting, space writing, fire circles with steel wool and stencils.
What to bring: The class is beginner friendly and open to all! Just bring along your camera, or a phone with adjustable exposure settings. If you have a tripod you can bring this too.
Who: This workshop will be taught by Maria Yebra. Maria mixes urban exploration along with night photography, light painting and anything else that might take her fancy! When she is not dwelling around a dark building with her camera in tow, Maria runs Laneway Learning.
