New Horizons: Creative Maribyrnong 2030 is Council’s renewed commitment to nurturing creativity. This five-year strategy sets out a vision for a city where creativity flourishes in every corner — from our bustling streets and creative precincts to our community centres and everyday lives.
Developed through conversations with local creatives, industry leaders and the broader community, this strategy outlines our creative aspirations, sets clear goals, and outlines key initiatives to help bring them to life — all while ensuring we stay transparent and accountable to our community.
Our focus is on creating:
- A creative and inspiring place to be, where everyone can participate and feel a sense of pride and connection
- A hothouse for creativity that supports artists, makers, and creative businesses to thrive
- An immersive cultural destination that draws visitors, energises our streets and celebrates the unique identity of our City
