The Resident Parking Permit Policy (the Policy) seeks to ensure that residents have a reasonable opportunity to a car parking space in proximity to their premises whilst balancing increased parking demands and community expectations.

The Policy sets the validity of resident and visitor parking permits to a maximum of 12 months from date of issue.  A copy of the Policy can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.

Residential Parking Permits

The Policy defines a residential parking permit as a vehicle registration specific permit which must be affixed to the windscreen of the specific vehicle for which it is issued.

Residential Parking Permits are not transferrable and does not guarantee the availability of a parking space.

Visitor Parking Permits

The Policy also defines a visitor parking permit as a general non specific permit which is used by visitors of a resident.

This permit must be used only by visitors to the residential address and is not to be used on vehicles owned by the resident.
