Delivering the NDIS in Maribyrnong

The Brotherhood of St Laurence provides Local Area Coordinator (LAC) and Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) services for Maribyrnong residents. The Brotherhood in partnership with the NDIA will be hosting regular NDIS information sessions across Western Melbourne.

Local Area Coordination

The role of the LAC is to assist people to navigate the NDIS. The Brotherhood of St Laurence provides planning and coordination for people with disability to maximise the choice and control over the services they use. This includes supporting people with disability to navigate mainstream services and increase their capability to be an active part of their community.

More information on the role of the LAC is available here.

Early Childhood Early Intervention

ECEI is designed to assist families of children under seven years old to access the right supports at the right time, which may include access to the NDIS if appropriate. The ECEI team also provides information about services in the community that are available to support you.

More information on the role of the ECEI provider is available here.

Support for people who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander

NDIS participants who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander can ask to talk to a member of the BSL NDIS Aboriginal Participation Team.

More information on the Brotherhood of St Laurence's NDIS Aboriginal Participation Team is available here.
