As part of Council's broader effort to protect the health and wellbeing of residents and visitors, we work to reduce the harmful impact of gambling in our community.
This includes the social and economic harms to individuals, families and communities.
Reducing Harm from Gambling Policy and Action Plan 2022-2030
The Reducing Harm from Gambling Policy aims to prevent and minimise harm from gambling across the City of Maribyrnong.
The Policy reflects the Council's role in assessing the impacts of electronic gaming machine applications in the municipality.
It further reflects Council's role in advocating for changes to the regulation and management of all forms of gambling in Victoria.
The Reducing Harm from Gambling Action Plan outlines Council's response to key actions contained in the policy. This action plan will be reviewed annually over the duration of the policy.
