What goes into the yellow recycling bin?

Rule number 1: Always remember to empty your recycling into the bin loose. Plastic bags and soft plastics cannot go in the recycling bin.

If you are not sure about the difference between a hard plastic item and a soft plastic, check out our Plastic Recycling Rules page. Plastics with numbers 1, 2 and 5 are acceptable.

Watch our video to find out more, or download our free app for a full A-Z search guide of what can and can't be recycled.
