Council will be proceeding with implementation of a Master Plan to deliver multi-million dollar improvements, including an indoor sports facility, at McIvor Reserve in Yarraville - after a bid to overturn the original decision failed.
The Master Plan had previously been adopted at a meeting on 29 March when the Mayor was required to use her casting vote after a three-all split.
Three councillors, later lodged a rescission motion seeking to overturn the decision on the basis a Southern site option had not been presented to the community.
The motion was lost four-three.
