This festive season promises unforgettable moments with our line-up of Christmas events for all ages, bringing holiday magic to Melbourne's west.

Join us for the Braybrook Picnic in the Park on 6 December where you will meet Farmer Darryl, cuddle up to the friendly farm animals, enjoy a pony ride and have your face painted. You can also say hello to Santa while enjoying a free sausage sizzle.

Don’t miss the main events – Festive Fri-Yay on Friday 13 at Footscray Library courtyard and Friday 20 December at Hansen Reserve in West Footscray. Experience a “white Christmas” in our giant Christmas snow globe and snap a photo inside with the family. Be sure to arrive early on Friday 13 December for a fun and engaging performance by Toby the T-Rex and his baby dinosaur friends from Dino Maniacs.

Bring along your dogs to Festive Fri-Yay on Friday 20 December and be ready to dance with Le Soul, a local dynamic live house and soul powerhouse who will be bringing all the energy and good vibes. With face painting, roaming performers, and a variety of delicious treats, these events are sure to light up your Friday nights!

You’re also invited to soak up the beautiful sunset and enjoy the festive cheer with your family at the Yarraville Carols in the Gardens on 14 December. Bring your picnic blankets and favourite treats for a relaxing evening with neighbours and friends.

To add extra holiday cheer, Council will again be bringing the magic of AR to life with interactive experiences. Residents and visitors can embark on a lively scavenger hunt to track down seven playful AR gingerbread characters hidden across the City. Plus, everyone can participate in a special holiday-themed colouring competition.
