Celebrate Albanian music, food and culture at the Albanian Community Festival, held in the Yarraville Gardens on Sunday 9 December.

Now in its 27th year this much-loved family festival commemorates Albanian Independence Day (28 November, 1912) which is an important day for Albanians all over the world.

“People come from all over Melbourne to meet here in the beautiful Yarraville Gardens for a day of traditional Albanian food, cultural dancing and music,” said Adzi Ceni, Secretary of the Albanian Australian Community Association.

“It is a great opportunity for the young within our community to appreciate a little of their history. It is also important for us to engage with the wider community within the area and present a little of our culture to those that would not normally come across our community,” said Adzi.
The festival will feature a host of local acts featuring a mixture of traditional and non-traditional music and dance as well as rides for the kids and variety of stalls.
