2017 Places of Maribyrnong Photo Competition
Published on 12 July 2017
Maribyrnong City Council is hosting a photography competition for local photographers – called 'Places of Maribyrnong'.
Entrants are asked to submit photographs of the places and viewpoints that they think are special.
"Our City is a vibrant place to live and to visit," said Mayor Cr Catherine Cumming.
"We are looking forward to receiving photographs that capture some of the City's most well-known sites including the Maribyrnong river, our lush parks and gardens, interesting streetscapes, historical buildings and views of the city. We're also hoping to see some lesser known places and viewpoints – all through the lenses of local photographers’.
There are awards for first, second and third, totaling $6000 worth of prizes. Prizes will be awarded by a judging panel based on relevance to the theme (Places of Maribyrnong), artistic and technical merit, originality and creativity. Additionally, photos may appear in the Council's Annual Report and communications.
This competition is open to Australian residents, 18 years and over who live, work or study in the City of Maribyrnong.
