Melbourne Food and Wine Festival - West Footscray Crawl

Westside Crawls is a series of progressive food events throughout the West as part of Melbourne Food and Wine Festival's March program.

The Crawls will take intimate groups of food lovers between three venues in a night, stopping for a bite, a drink or a snack at each. Each Crawl is led by a Melbourne Food and Wine Festival host, and each is a celebration of the eating and drinking culture of a different neighbourhood in Melbourne's west.

West Footscray Crawl - Thursday 25 March

West Footscray is fast becoming one of Melbourne’s most interesting and diverse dining destinations. Taking in a fantastic variety of influences, this Crawl is a showcase of the neighbourhood’s culinary ambition all on one fantastic eat street.

The night starts fittingly enough with the newest addition to the West Footscray food scene, Zymurgy. A collaboration between brewers Hop Nation and Julian Hills, the chef and restaurateur celebrated for his work at Navi over in Yarraville, it’s a celebration of the art of fermentation, which you’ll experience first-hand in tasting platters.

Next up is the mighty Harley & Rose, the wine shop and wood-fired wonder from chefs Josh Murphy and Rory Cowcher. Their outstanding pizza and natural wine will take centre stage.

And for the sweet finish? Where better than Chibog, everyone’s favourite “modern Filipinx gastronomy bar” to enjoy desserts that channel the sweet flair of the Philippines.
