Since 2014, Council has been committed to bringing the business community together through a variety of Business Networking Events. These events are designed to inspire guests to network, build relationships and exchange ideas while enjoying a delicious hot meal.
We encourage local businesses to attend Council’s Business Networking Events to benefit from the education and support on offer, and to share ideas for improving the local economy.

Event MC: Jules Brooke, Founder - She's The Boss
Venue: Maribyrnong City Council Civic Centre & Community Hub, Footscray
Get ready to celebrate the incredible women in our community!
Join Maribyrnong City Council together with Hobsons Bay City Council for an unforgettable evening of empowerment, inspiration, and connection as we mark International Women's Day.
This fantastic event is a unique opportunity to come together with like-minded individuals, hear from remarkable women who are making a real difference, and be a part of a vibrant and supportive community.
This year's event is themed ‘March Forward’, which commemorates 30 years in which the UN made a bold commitment to Gender Equality. Over the past 30 years, we have seen women flourish, break barriers and hold their own in a world that tries to hold them back.
We are excited to announce our special guest speaker, Courtney Ray, the CEO and founder of Daily Blooms, a highly successful online florist operating across Melbourne and Sydney.
With a fascinating career trajectory, Courtney transitioned from a financial analyst to a florist, founder, and CEO, making the leap into the creative industry with just $500 in 2014. Today, Daily Blooms has blossomed into a thriving business with $35 million in revenue.
Courtney's inspiring story and expertise in e-commerce and entrepreneurship will undoubtedly provide valuable insights to our audience. As a passionate advocate for sustainability and innovation, she has revolutionized the flower delivery industry with her unique approach to selling flowers online.
Fabulous cocktail food, drinks and entertainment as always, and a chance to win some fantastic door prizes too.
