Council's Business Improvement District (BID) Grant Program is designed to support our local business community and foster continuous improvement for businesses across our City.

The BID Grant Program is delivered through two streams of funding for 2023/24:

  1. Business Elevate Program Funding.
  2. Trader Association BID Grant Funding.

Business Elevate Program Funding

The Business Elevate Program Funding is designed to support small businesses located in Maribyrnong, with a 50 x $2,000 voucher-based program with a total value of $100,000.

Trader Association BID Grant Funding

The Trader Associations BID Grant Funding supports our local trader associations to deliver various project, programs, events and initiatives to a total value of up to $100,000.

Council is supporting all the registered trader associations located within Maribyrnong with a distribution of BID grant funding, to support them with the development and delivery of their marketing initiatives. 

Grant funding will be distributed based on the size of the trader association and other defined criteria for assessment of the amount distributed.  Up to $100,000 will be distributed amongst the trader associations this 2023/24 financial year to support the groups to deliver their approved action plans.

If you are a business owner interested in becoming a member of your local trader association, so you can contribute and influence the use of the grant funding.
