The Social Impact Assessment Policy and Guidelines aim to assist Council officers and developers when preparing a social impact assessment (SIA) for developments associated with rezoning and planning applications of more than 300 dwellings. They reflect the requirements for SIA outlined in Maribyrnong Planning Scheme at Clause 21.04 Settlement and 21.07 Housing.

Council endorsed the Social Impact Assessment Policy and Guidelines 2018 at its Ordinary Council meeting 11 December 2018.
